Our Alder Grilling Plank is a natural way of infusing barbecue dishes with the alder wood flavours. The Alder wood is best suited to delicate meats such as fish. Our 'Plank Grilled Salmon Tortillas' recipe is a great first dish to try out.
Soak the plank for 1 -2 hours before use and then place your chosen meat on the plank and season thoroughly. Barbecue your meat on an indirect for the required time seasoning throughout.
You can re use your Alder Grilling Plank several times but ensure that the plank is washed with water after every use; do not use soap or washing up liquid for this. After cleaning dry the plank thoroughly and store in a cool dry place ready for next time.
